At Denver’s largest park, explore several lakes, spectacular mountain views, a public golf course, flower gardens and a hiking/jogging trail that is exactly one mile high. It's also where you'll find Denver Zoo  and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS).

The only downtown theme park in America is really two parks in one: on one side, experience 53 thrill rides, including looping roller coasters; on the other side, cool off in a wet 'n' wild water park with tubes, waterslides and wave pools.

One of the best museums in Denver is the city itself. Explore the city’s alleyways, building exteriors, warehouses, garage doors and storefronts to see works by local muralists like Pat Milbery and Detour.

Get Outside

The 3.5-mile Confluence Park loop trail skirts along water most of the way. Watch kayakers brave the rapids on custom-designed chutes and enjoy panoramic views of downtown Denver. Hop on the Denver Trolley and take a 30-minute scenic ride along the river or connect to Cherry Creek Trail to extend your walk. 

The Downtown Aquarium mixes family fun, upscale casual dining and spectacular marine life in Denver. Explore the Aquarium Adventure Exhibit with more than one million gallons of extraordinary exhibits. Dine in the Aquarium Restaurant seated around a 150,000-gallon aquarium while you feast on a variety of delicious selections.

Take the Kids

While it continues to serve its original role as a major ground transportation hub, this historic, Beaux-Arts 1914 train terminal is now a foodie destination, with a dozen restaurants and bars, from farm-to-table favorite Mercantile dining + provision to the Terminal Bar situated in the station's old ticket windows.

Denver has seemingly endless bike lanes and trails for epic two-wheeled adventures. The city has multiple bike parks and 850 miles of paved, off-street biking and walking trails, connecting commuters and cyclists with all parts of Denver, from downtown to the Cherry Creek Reservoir.
