Division Posters
ALL Division poster proposals must be submitted online by Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET.
If you’re showcasing early-stage research, innovative practice methods, or just prefer conversational exchanges over formal talks, consider submitting a poster to APA 2026!
APA Divisions encourage poster submissions on any topic of interest to the psychology community. Posters can cover new research findings, innovative education and practice approaches, novel ideas, or advances in the profession.
NOTE: All results presented on posters should be complete. Phrases such as “data collection is ongoing,” “analyses will be conducted,” or “results will be presented” should not be included in abstracts.
All APA 2026 poster proposals must be submitted online through the call for proposals platform by Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 5 p.m. ET.
How Poster Sessions Work at APA 2026
Accepted posters can be presented in-person or virtually at APA 2026.
In-Person
Accepted posters will be assigned to a poster session on one of the three days of APA 2026. Poster presenters should bring their printed posters to the poster hall 10 minutes before their session starts.
During the poster session, presenters are encouraged to engage participants. At least one poster author should be present for the entire poster session to answer questions from participants.
The maximum poster size for APA 2026 is 4’ (122cm) high and 6’ (183 cm) wide. Thumbtacks will be provided to affix posters to the mounted boards.
In-person poster presenters are also encouraged to upload their posters and an optional short explanatory video to the Virtual Poster Hall, where attendees can browse posters on-demand.
NOTE: All in-person presenters and program participants, including poster presenters, are required to register for APA 2026 and pay the appropriate registration fees.
Virtual
As a virtual poster presenter, you must upload a PDF version of your poster and an optional explanatory video to the Virtual Poster Hall. There is no live presentation component. All APA 2026 attendees can browse the Virtual Poster Hall on-demand.
Log in details and instructions will be provided via email ahead of APA 2026.
